HOW TO APPLY

Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, November 16th, 2023, until December 22nd, 2023. All applications must be submitted electronically to beth@brantunitedway.org prior to the application deadline to be considered.

We are here to help. We are happy to answer any questions, provide guidance and technical support, and provide any additional support to help make the application process smoother.

Need Extra Support? Join our Group Information Sessions

Group Information Sessions about the grant process will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 10am and again at 1pm.

The sessions will take place at our office - 125 Morrell St.  Brantford, Ontario. You can request a space by emailing "Group Session RSVP" to info@brantunitedway.org. Please include:

  1. Your Name,
  2. Organization Name,
  3. Requested Time.

Spaces are limited, we kindly ask that you RSVP by 1pm on December 6th.

About Brant United Way Grants

Applying for a grant through Brant United Way is an open process, meaning that any local charity can apply assuming they meet the following eligibility requirements:

- The organization is a registered charity in good standing with the CRA,

- The organization has strong governance practices with the membership of the Board of Directors being arm's length from each other and/or the operations,

- The organization's finances are audited by a third party, with financial statements being publicly available

- The applicant's operations are in compliance with key employment legislations (ESA, OHSA, OHRC),

- Funding received from Brant United Way must be used to provide service within the City of Brantford, Brant County and/or Six Nations of the Grand River

- Funding received from Brant United Way must not be used for capital purchases and leasehold improvements.
