Donations for 11th Annual GIANT Warehouse Sale

The Brant United Way is making plans for the 11th annual installment of its popular GIANT Warehouse Sale. The event will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each year, the Brant United Way solicits donations of products from companies in Brantford and the County of Brant. Those products are then sold at the GIANT Warehouse Sale and all proceeds go to support the Brant United Way and its member agencies.

"We have had great success over the years with large donations of cleaning products, lawn and garden items, jewelry boxes, home décor items, and personal care products such as shampoo," explains Mary Palka, Campaign Director of the Brant United Way. "However in recent years, there have been donations of larger items in smaller quantities, such as paint products and vinyl siding. These items have been sold ahead of the sale date to help bolster our overall fundraising."

In 2012, the GIANT Warehouse Sale raised a record-breaking $154,000. This year the event's planning committee is hoping to raise the bar even higher. "We are always looking for donations of new products which help to make the event bigger and better each year," Palka remarked. "We want to continue to add interest and excitement and keep our loyal shoppers coming back year after year."
